Chapter 1
edit
Simon Peter, a slave and student of Jesus the Christ, writing to those who have obtained a precious faith through the righteousness of God and Jesus the Christ;
may the grace and peace given to you be multiplied under the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.
As always, his divine power automatically gives to us life and godliness from the knowledge of his name, which calls us to honor and excellence.
By which, he has given the precious and magnificent promises to us, so that through these promises, you might become divine partakers in creation, having escaped the sin and decay of the world.
Also, for this reason, in earnestness, supplement your faith, and add virtue to your knowledge.
Also, to your knowledge add self control and to your self control, patience and to your patience, godliness
and to your godliness, brotherly love and brotherly love, love.
If these things are in you, and in surplus, neither being lazy or unfruitful in the Knowledge of our Lord Jesus the Christ.
He who lacks these things is blind and is short-sighted and forgot the cleaning of his sins.
10
Therefor, brothers be diligent in your calling and election: if you do this, you will not fail
