About Me
As a pediatric cardiologist at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to children with congenital heart disease. My approach emphasizes the use of advanced imaging techniques to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. I find great fulfillment in fostering strong partnerships with my patients and their families, ensuring they are well-informed and actively involved in their healthcare journey.
I specialize in fetal and pediatric heart imaging, focusing on innovative procedures such as transesophageal echocardiography and three-dimensional (3D) echocardiographic reconstruction. My expertise also includes therapeutic ultrasound and the noninvasive treatment of pediatric cardiac lesions. Additionally, I have advanced the use of 3D printing for creating detailed cardiac models from CT and MRI scans, which enhances surgical planning and patient outcomes.
With over four decades of experience in pediatric cardiology, I bring a wealth of knowledge and unique methodologies to my practice. My career has been marked by significant contributions to the field, including the development of cutting-edge imaging and therapeutic techniques. As co-founder and chief medical advisor of UltraSight—a joint venture startup established by the NYU Grossman School of Medicine and the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel—I am involved in pioneering efforts to revolutionize ultrasound technology through machine learning and artificial intelligence, aiming to improve clinical decision-making and patient care.
Inspired by the potential to make a difference in the lives of children, I have dedicated my career to advancing pediatric cardiology through research, education, and clinical excellence. My involvement in professional societies, including serving as president of the Society of Pediatric Echocardiography and Chair of the Pediatric Council of the American Society of Echocardiography, reflects my leadership and commitment to the field and my ongoing efforts to improve patient care and outcomes.
