Patrick Baker, Engineering Technology, '22
After completing his B.S. in Applied Engineering, Patrick completed an internship with Tesla and participated in the SpaceX Starship Program in Cape Canaveral. And after completing his master's at KSU, he now works as a Control Systems Engineer at Tesla, a job he was able to obtain through the network he created at Kent State!

“When I saw the K in person, I stood there and I cried for 10 minutes because the US Flag was up above me, the Ohio flag was there with the Kent State flag and the library was there,” said Hudayberdiyeva. “Seeing that with my eyes and not in a wallpaper on my computer was very thrilling and emotional for me.”

Building a Community at Kent State
I was able to work on campus as a graduate assistant, take part in internships, and get involved in student organizations. For me, these were opportunities to learn outside the classroom and gain practical experience. They helped me build a community at Kent State.
