Admissions Process
We are excited to begin the application process with you!
We welcome applications to all three of our divisions - Lower, Middle and Upper School - as well as our early childhood programs. The age-appropriate admission process is tailored for each division. We hope the information on this page acts as a guide as you get started.
You may submit your application and supporting materials through SaintsNet, our password-protected online portal. Through SaintsNet, families apply for admissions and work their way through the checklist, which includes supplemental forms, supporting documents, teacher recommendations and information on scheduling visits.

Early Learners

Adrienne loves sparkly shoes just as much as the girls. Adrienne returned to St. Catherine's in 2004 after working in Hamilton College’s Admissions Office organizing personal visits and larger programs, interviewing applicants, and representing the college at various events. At St. Catherine’s, she has worked with all grade levels and was involved in both day and boarding admissions. Currently, she works with St. Catherine’s youngest applicants and their families and is happy to share the joyful learning happening in the Center for Early Childhood Education and the exploration happening in the Lower School classrooms. In addition, Adrienne is involved with the Virginia Association of Independent Schools (VAIS) Admission Group, and volunteers with Hamilton College and SCAN.

Adrienne is a proud member of St. Catherine's Class of 2000 and was both a Head Student Ambassador and Head Peer Advisor as a Senior.

Ashley began her career as a high school English teacher with a passion for literature, writing, and grammar and later transitioned to specialty center coordinator for Chesterfield County’s Center for Leadership and International Relations. With a background in admissions and program coordination, Ashley enjoys connecting with new families and organizing engaging events. Fully immersing herself in the Middle School community, she serves as an advisor, participates in chapel services and assemblies, and accompanies students on field trips, which helps her showcase the rewarding experiences of St. Catherine’s Middle School with prospective families.

Did you know?
Ashley is a published children’s book author of "Cailey’s Best Day." Her love of reading and writing fueled the opportunity to make a dream come true.
Although she is not a good cook, Ashley can spend hours watching Food Network. Her favorite shows are “Chopped” and “Beat Bobby Flay.”

Having experienced a coordinate program for her undergraduate degree, Whitney knows first-hand what it is to experience the “best of both worlds.” Whitney loves to see St. Catherine’s collaborating with St. Christopher’s to provide distinctive programs and opportunities that bring girls and boys together. Also a current parent, Whitney can attest to the benefits of an all-girls experience. She feels there is nothing better than watching girls develop confidence and a love of learning that is fostered in a way that is unique to girls.

Aparna Bansal Harger

Aparna Bansal Harger joins St. Catherine’s School with a professional history in law and teaching prior to dedicating her primary work to inclusion and belonging in schools. She brings longevity in community work and a commitment to fostering positive, supportive school experiences for all students and families.
Aparna is a product of all-girls’ education via Garrison Forest School. She then earned her BA in Sociology, Women’s & Gender Studies, and Political Science at Wake Forest University, and later completed the Master of Teaching program at the University of Richmond with endorsements in teaching K-12 French and secondary English.
The daughter of immigrants, Aparna is fascinated by culture and the power of storytelling. She is energized by working alongside young people, including her students and her daughter. She loves reading and exploring the local RVA scene.

Amy joined St. Catherine's from working as a college admissions counselor at Randolph-Macon College, where she planned admitted student events, interviewed applicants, and read applications. She is very eager to take the skills she learned in college admissions and transfer them to St. Catherine’s. As a graduate of Holy Cross Academy and St. John Paul the Great Catholic High School, Amy understands the impact and value of an independent school education. Amy loves to meet new families and working with the St. Catherine’s community.
