Students that are enrolled in at least 6 summer units and have a valid 25-26 FAFSA or DREAM application on file are reviewed for a summer financial aid offer. For more information on summer financial aid please visit

If you complete all degree requirements and graduate in the Spring term or earlier, you will not be eligible for financial aid for any Summer Session classes taken afterward at UC San Diego. Financial aid is only available for courses that are required for your officially declared degree program.
UC San Diego reserves the right to adjust financial aid offers to correct any awarding errors and/or changes to qualifying information, including graduation term, that may result in updates to aid eligibility and adjustments of financial aid offers.

High School Students
High school students currently in grades 9 to 11 must have parental consent prior to applying to Summer Session. We recommend that students maintain a minimum 3.3 GPA. All courses taken are for UC credit and will be calculated into your UC GPA.
High school students currently in grade 12 are not considered in this category since you will have graduated from high school when Summer Session begins.
High school students who wish to enroll at UC San Diego Summer Session must have your parent/guardian complete the UC San Diego Summer Session Parent/Guardian agreement form. This form will be sent to students who enroll in summer session and must be received by the
refund deadline
. If the form is not received, students may be dropped from their courses.

on TritonLink for the Summer course offerings. Inform your high school counselor/teacher that you intend to enroll in Summer Session at UC San Diego. You may wish to discuss what this means to your high school curriculum, future AP courses, and college/university application.
High school students are allowed to enroll in lower-division courses, which are courses numbered 1-95 (ex: ECON 1 or MATH 20C). Please review all course prerequisites.

International Students
Are you an undergraduate student currently studying in a university or college
outside
the United States?
If so, you may be considered an international student. UC San Diego Summer Session welcomes international students who meet specific English proficiency requirements. Students must submit proof of meeting the university English proficiency requirements when requesting for I-20:
TOEFL minimum scores:
internet-based: 83
Paper-based: 550
IELTS minimum score of 7 (Academic module)
AP Exam accepted scores:
English Language and Composition: 3, 4, 5
English Literature and Composition: 3, 4, 5
IB Exam accepted scores:
English (Lang. A) higher level: 5, 6, 7
English (Lang. A) standard level: 6 or higher
Duolingo English Test (DET): Minimum score of 115
International students who wish to enter the U.S. on an F-1 or J-1 visa in Summer Session must

the Summer Session online application will open to activate the enrollment status for alumni student ID numbers. Without an active student ID number, enrollment cannot proceed. The application link will be provided soon.

If you have your student ID but don't remember your password: use the

You will be charged a
$100 nonrefundable application fee
with your tuition. If you change your mind and no longer wish to enroll with UC San Diego, you are still responsible for paying the $100 nonrefundable application fee.
