Mayo Clinic students help take research beyond the lab and into space

On Friday, April 8, the first all-civilian flight to the International Space Station lifted off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Mayo Clinic research was on board this historic mission to space. Larry Connor, a Mayo Clinic benefactor and CEO of The Connor Group, made history as he piloted the flight. He and his crew took part in research projects for Mayo Clinic during the 10-day Axiom Space flight.

Regenerative sciences students show resilience despite research disruptions due to COVID-19

Adjusting to the many challenges of a global pandemic is one lesson regenerative sciences students didn’t expect to learn while training at Mayo Clinic this year.

However, as the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted plans and made classes transition to an online format, our students developed patience, persistence, flexibility, and, most of all, resilience. Three regenerative sciences students share how they were able to turn adversity into opportunity.
