As a workforce development partner, Arkansas Rehabilitation Services (ARS) assists clients with finding the right job so they can lead productive and independent lives. Business Relations Services also assists businesses in achieving a competitive advantage by offering qualified job candidates who are trained in a wide variety of skills and have the good work habits that employers value.

ARS-Business Services can help to keep an employee with a disability productive on the job, find qualified applicants, reduce hiring costs, or enhance an employer’s workforce diversity programs. By combining disability expertise and community resources with a real understanding of today’s global workforce challenges, ARS-Business Services delivers quality services that help employers sustain their operations. We can reduce your recruitment costs by pre-screening applicants and save you money with our on-the-job training and retention services. We can provide you with information on qualified tax breaks such as the Work Opportunity Tax Credit. Our business services are customized, and many are free.

To assist with soft skills, we offer a Job Readiness training program so that applicants are prepared for employment.

Hiring Incentives
The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a Federal credit available to you for each new hire you retain through ARS-Business Services. Your credit for a full-time employee is up to 40% of the first $6,000 in wages or $2,400 paid in the first 12 months of the new hire’s employment. Part-time employees are also eligible for the credit. The credit is not limited to the number of new hires you can claim.
