What we aim to solve

We create a unique and individualized program to meet each participant's specific goals in an atmosphere where every student (whether in our equestrian therapy program or Ready To Work! program) - can and will succeed. Carousel Ranch improves the health, wellness, college access and upward mobility of differently-abled young people who are wholly capable of leading purposeful and productive lives.

It has been a long road getting back to pre-covid service but today we are proud to report we are serving over 100 children and young adults with special needs between both programs.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Carousel Ranch provides equestrian therapy for children and young adults with special needs and work readiness, job training and supported employment for young adults with special needs.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
• In 2024, Carousel Ranch provided equestrian therapy to 64 children, youth and young adults with special needs and Ready to Work’s job training and employment continuum served 46. This represents an 8% increase over the previous year.
• 100% of equestrian therapy participants made measurable improvement on one or more of the developmental domains, such as balance, core strength, flexibility, emotional regulation, speech and following instructions.
• 53 students have completed RTW Level I and II with 77% securing paid employment.
• 41 students have completed Ready to Work Academy at College of the Canyons with 60% securing employment.
• Carousel Ranch has developed partnerships with 40+ local business partners who work with us to provide workplace tours, volunteer opportunities, job shadowing, work practicum experiences, paid internships and competitive paid employment.
