CEU Student and Faculty Tools
Detailed step-by-step guides are available to CEU students, faculty and staff on the CEU IT Office SharePoint site (CEU login credentials are required).
CEU Email - Microsoft Outlook
Students and faculty receive a personal CEU email address which grants them access to Microsoft 365 portal and services, including: Microsoft Outlook email inbox, OneDrive, SharePoint, as well as Microsoft apps: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc. You can download desktop versions of the apps or access their simplified online versions through the Microsoft 365 portal.
Your CEU credentials (CEU email + CEU password) grant you access to all major online digital systems and services, such as:
All tools listed on this page
Wi-Fi services
Printing services
VPN service for off-campus access
CEU computer lab/library computers
Academic journals
CEU alumni can request to switch their CEU student email account to an alumni email account (with limited features).
Read how to request this change.
CEU Intranet - Microsoft SharePoint
CEU Intranet is built using Microsoft SharePoint cloud-based platform. Key administrative and academic units have their own SharePoint sites, where they share news, guides, and internal information with students, faculty, and staff. Access to the CEU Intranet is possible with CEU credentials only.
CEU eVision Portal (Student Management System; SITS)
CEU eVision Portal or SITS is the student information management portal used at CEU by students and faculty.
Through the SITS portal, students are able to:
update personal details,
register for courses,
view timetables, courses, and grades, and
request leave of absence.
Faculty can access SITS to:
view/download the registered and waitlisted students by courses,
email students,
manage assigned application reviews,
record grades, and
check the timetables and teaching load.
Complete guides to using eVision can be found on the Intranet under:
SITS Manuals (general SITS guidance)

SITS Manuals - Faculty
TimeEdit
TimeEdit is the main database of all course-related data.
All departments list their courses and course descriptions in our public course catalog,
TimeEdit Study Guide
Students and faculty can search for, save and download schedules in
TimeEdit Viewer
The course data is connected to SITS, where students can register for their selected courses.
Staff and faculty can access two additional TimeEdit services:
CEU faculty can edit their courses and set availability preferences in
TimeEdit Curriculum.
Course assessment is managed through
TimeEdit Course Evaluation
, which offers
complete flexibility in survey design, customized automated workflows and real-time survey progress monitoring for faculty and staff.
Students, faculty and staff can find TimeEdit manuals on the TimeEdit SharePoint site (CEU credentials are required).
Moodle/E-Learning
Moodle is a Virtual Learning Environment used by CEU (often referred to as the “E-Learning site”). You can use it from any computer with internet access to find readings and assignments for most of your courses.
You can view the Student Quick Start Guide to Moodle here
(login credentials are not required).
VPN
A virtual private network ("VPN") is a secured connection between two computer systems allowing access to certain resources. The VPN’s primary purpose is to extend the CEU network to your private computer and provide access to various university resources when you are off campus, such as accessing the
library resources
This service is available for all students, faculty and staff with valid CEU credentials. Alumni can also request access to VPN via the
Alumni Office;
however, in that case, you will have to renew access yearly.
The VPN only works from outside the CEU network―on campus these resources are available without VPN.
CEU Official Documents Hub
The latest versions of the official CEU policies and guidelines can be found on the dedicated website at
Please note that certain policies are available to users with CEU credentials only.
Wifi Internet Access on CEU Campus
At CEU, there are three (3) levels of access to wireless networks. These are categorized below by the name of the given network (“SSID”). These networks are available in all CEU buildings.
CEU network SSID:
CEU members can authenticate using their Microsoft username and password. This authentication is necessary only once per device, and after the first authentication, the device will remember these settings, so users can use this Wi-Fi network every day without having to sign in again. Authenticated devices could have less strict firewall rules, and could have easier access to various resources (shared network drives, SAP, Office365 services, SITS, etc.) without the use of VPN. CEU assures that there is sufficient bandwidth for the dedicated devices and services on this network, resulting better overall Wi-Fi performance.
Eduroam network SSID:
offers internet connectivity to roaming users of all other
Eduroam
member institutions and is available to visitors from Eduroam partners (and also for CEU community members in other partner institutions).
CEU Guest network SSID:
for guest access (e.g.: to external Library visitor, other external visitors, conference visitors etc.), CEU provides a separate guest network called ‘CEU Guest’. This is a more strictly protected network with more restrictive firewall settings. Bandwidth is limited to provide sufficient Wi-Fi capacity to the members of CEU (users connected to the ‘CEU’ network). The password to connect is printed on posters in public areas of the campus.
