Sarah Boston Andriano is the Vice President for Advancement and Community Engagement at Champlain College, bringing 19 years of experience in higher education across advancement and enrollment roles. Sarah’s career includes significant contributions at St. Lawrence University and Boston University, where she developed expertise in building impactful community partnerships and driving strategic growth in higher education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Union College and a Master of Education from Boston University. Wylie Garcia (She/They) Art Gallery Director, Curator, Professional Artist
Wylie Garcia is a seasoned figure in the art world, boasting over 15 years of experience in the non-profit arts sector. Their multifaceted career spans roles as an art gallery director, curator, and accomplished artist, earning recognition through prestigious awards for their contributions to the arts.
As an Affiliate Member of the American Alliance of Museums (AAMG), Wylie is committed to fostering artistic growth and innovation. Their expertise lies in connecting artists with resources to propel their careers forward, exemplifying a passion for nurturing creative talent.
A standout project in Wylie’s portfolio is FluxFest, a campus-wide interactive exhibition curated in collaboration with acclaimed curator John Kilacky. This groundbreaking initiative explored the convergence of art and technology, engaging audiences in dynamic artistic experiences.
With deep roots in the local arts community spanning over two decades, Wylie brings extensive connections and insights to their work. Their network serves as a catalyst for collaboration and cross-disciplinary exchange, enriching the cultural landscape.

Matt is the Gifts Administration Specialist within Champlain College’s Advancement team. He graduated from the University of Vermont in 2021, majoring in Psychological Science and Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies. His previous experience with donors and gifts began with his role as Operations & Outreach Coordinator at Pride Center of Vermont, before starting his current role at Champlain in 2025.

Biography
Veronica holds degrees in psychology and anthropology from the College of William & Mary. She started at Champlain in 2012 in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and easily fell in love with this special place and the wonderful students. Veronica is a proud Champlain College Online graduate and received her MBA in 2016. She loves working in Advancement as it enables her to secure funding support for scholarships and all of the innovative projects that are happening on campus. She is the mother of two young boys and can often be found outside enjoying the Vermont wilderness.
What are your hobbies?
Is being a mother to two young boys a hobby? I love baking and cooking. I also enjoy most outdoor activities ranging from biking, hiking, swimming to skiing.

Alexis Pomerleau serves as a Leadership Giving Officer, where she cultivates meaningful relationships that advance the College’s philanthropic mission. With expertise in donor relations, leadership giving, and strategic partnership development, Alexis works closely with diverse constituencies, including parents of current students, alumni, board members, and major gift prospects.
Alexis brings a unique professional background that spans higher education advancement, retail operations, startup ventures, and wellness services. Her career has been defined by a passion for connecting people with opportunities that create lasting impact. She excels at managing multiple high-profile projects simultaneously while maintaining the personal touch and attention to detail essential to effective relationship building.
In her role at Champlain, Alexis orchestrates donor cultivation activities, develops strategic communication campaigns, and coordinates volunteer advisory councils. She is particularly skilled in event stewardship, long-term relationship management, and creating value through authentic engagement. Her approach combines strategic thinking with genuine relationship-building, ensuring that every interaction advances both immediate goals and sustainable institutional growth.
Alexis holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing from Saint Michael’s College.

Uli is the Government, Corporations, and Foundations Relations specialist within Champlain College’s Advancement team. His work explores connections between funders and Champlain’s innovative approach to higher education. His prior experiences in the nonprofit world supported conservation work with organizations such as the New England Aquarium, the Appalachian Mountain Club, and Mass Audubon. He holds a BA from Kenyon College in International Studies with minors in Environmental Science and Spanish.
Outside of work, he plays piano and loves spending time outdoors: hiking, biking, backpacking, and lying in a nice patch of grass.

Biography
Shaylea Scribner has been serving in the Office of Institutional Advancement since 2019. Prior to this, she spent six years in the President’s Office. In her current role, she wears many hats but her focus is spent on event management, prospect management, and research. She loves being able to interact with not only staff, faculty, and students, but parents, alumni and donors on a regular basis. During her time at Champlain, Shaylea has served on the Staff Council in numerous roles including as President for four years.
Shaylea is a two-time Champlain alum, having received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business in 2010 and her MBA in 2017. In her free time, Shaylea likes to read, binge watch the latest TV shows, take walks, and play with her goldendoodle, Kenzie.

Biography
Dr. Lisa Tiffin brings leadership through a strong combination of communication and writing skills, entrepreneurial drive, teaching and speaking experience, and a demonstrated history of successful fundraising. After successfully standing up a grants program for Roberts Wesleyan University in Rochester, NY, she moved to Vermont to serve Champlain College.
A significant part of her job at Champlain includes the pursuit of scholarships for students, capital dollars to support the vision of Champlain, and applied research projects serving faculty interest and providing experiential learning opportunities for students. Lisa’s work style is collaborative, and working across departments, with administration, and serving the staff and faculty in support of Champlain’s students keeps her ticking and filled with energy, joy, and curiosity.
Lisa holds a Grants Professional Certification (GPC), a BA in English and Education, an MA in American Literature, and a Doctorate in Executive Leadership. She is enjoying living in Vermont and making regular trips to visit her twins in NC.
