The University of St Andrews Cricket Club
The Cricket Club (USTACC) is one of the oldest sports clubs at the University welcoming all abilities.
Having recently merged the Men’s and Women’s clubs together, we are ready to continue building the club into an institution which can last the test of time. Driven by our love of the sport, the USTACC is an active and engaging community, with a perfect mix of training and socials. We have four distinct teams, who spend the academic year training for our summer season.

We have four teams which train at different times throughout the week: the Men’s 1st XI, 2nd XI, 3rd XI and the Women’s 1st XI. Anyone is welcome to come along and try out for these teams at the start of the academic year, no matter their skill level.
We compete in the BUCS Cricket leagues, both indoor and outdoor, at a variety of levels. The outdoor season doesn’t begin until April, and so prior to that we train, play indoor matches, and organize friendly games with nearby teams.

Charity Work:
The club raises money for the Change Foundation via bake sales, running cloakrooms at events & a charity quiz, as well as running the Seagullian Ball in memory of Rob George, a talented cricket player who died of leukaemia in 2013, aged 21. Money raised each year goes towards sponsoring young people with an aptitude for sport who are limited by their financial situation, as well as supporting those with life threatening or terminal illness.
