Civil engineers
design and supervise the construction of roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and water supply and sewage systems. Civil engineering, considered one of the oldest engineering disciplines, encompasses many specialties, and overall job opportunities consistently remain strong and starting salaries are among the highest of all college graduates.
The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of

Through its ABET accredited undergraduate program and graduate program, the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department prepares its students to meet the challenges of tomorrow. Students develop insights into the physical, economical, sociological, and even political constraints which must be considered in engineering analysis and design. Upon completion of the program, the new engineers are able to make a smooth transition to civil engineering practice and research.
