It was the fourth film globally and the second in Asia to be shot entirely using the ARRI Alexa IMAX camera system. In 2021, the film won the "Original Film IP Gold Award" at the inaugural China Annual IP Awards.

Plot

The story is set in Tokyo. Southeast Asian Chamber of Commerce chairman Su Chawei invites Watanabe Masaru, head of the Japanese yakuza organization Koryukai, to negotiate the development rights for Tokyo's new Chinatown. However, during the meeting, Su is mysteriously murdered in a locked room, and Watanabe becomes the prime suspect.

Detectives Tang Ren (Wang Baoqiang) and Qin Feng (Liu Haoran) are invited by Japanese detective Noda Hiroshi (Satoshi Tsumabuki) to travel to Tokyo and investigate the case. At the same time, top detectives from the "CRIMASTER World Detective Rankings" also converge on Tokyo to join the challenge, including Thai detective J (Tony Jaa).

As the investigation deepens, a massive secret involving World War II history is uncovered behind the case. Qin Feng faces a difficult moral dilemma — should he expose the truth or protect the perpetrator?
