This group, located at the Lions Eye Institute in Albany, was the first in the region to perform innovative procedures including endothelial keratoplasty (DSAEK), custom LASIK, blade-free LASIK, stem cell transplantation, artificial cornea (keratoprosthesis), phakic intraocular lenses (IOLs) and multifocal intraocular lenses (IOLs) for the treatment of cataracts.
The team at Cornea Consultants specialize in the pathology of the ocular surface, cornea, iris and lens. They see patients with a wide variety of eye conditions and severity. They regularly conduct research and attend and contribute to major national and international meetings to stay abreast of any new developments in eye care and share their expertise.

We offer surgical services at two locations. Inpatient and outpatient surgery are performed at the

, on our Wilton Campus. Whenever possible, we offer a minimally invasive approach, which means less discomfort and scarring as well as faster recovery times. For certain conditions, both minimally invasive and advanced robot-assisted surgery options are offered, enabling our surgeons to perform even the most complex and delicate procedures with extreme precision. We do everything we can to make you feel comfortable and well cared for.
