For Parents
Many parents or guardians of children with disabilities have real and ongoing concerns about their child’s future, especially when it comes to
employment
and
independence
. One major worry is whether their child will ever be able to find a job that matches their abilities, provides meaningful work, and offers the support they need to succeed.
The answer is yes.
DARS can help your child with disabilities achieve their highest level of gainful employment in an integrated workforce.
And the sooner you start preparing your child, the better!
Pre-ETS helps you build relationships with counselors, providers and community resources to help you navigate life after high school.
Ages 0-14
DARS does not work with children younger than 14. However, working with organizations like
PEATC
or your local
Center for Independent Living
will empower you with knowledge and resources that are available to help you navigate these important years.

VR services
