: A French abbreviation for "translation" (literally ‘'traduction’ in French).
Traduc.org is a French organization bringing together volunteers, translators and all those keen on free software. It was registered as a "
Loi 1901
" (NPO) organization in 1992 (
Traduc.org current board members
).
At the time, its scope was limited to a project aiming to translate HOWTOs from the
Linux Documentation Project
. Subsequently, Traduc.org expanded and is currently managing numerous projects and hosting some others:
