Below are some case studies of recent Greater Good Charities partnerships,
campaigns and initiatives that have helped people, pets, and the planet.
Founded by country music icon Miranda Lambert and her mom, Bev Lambert, in 2009, MuttNation is a donation-supported 501c(3) nonprofit organization with a US-focused mission to support the adoption of shelter pets, advance spay & neuter, educate the public about the benefits of these actions, and provide assistance to shelters during times of natural disaster. Since its inception, the Foundation has raised over $11 million and assisted more than 1,000 shelters.

GreaterGood.com is our first and longest running partner. Their stores, Click To Give sites Gifts That Give More programs work to connect changemakers with causes they care about, all supporting the work of Greater Good Charities.
Boehringer Ingelheim has supported Greater Good Charities for 10 years, including through disaster response, with cash and product support. Recently, this includes their Shots For Good program, which provides native populations with animal vaccines, and Save A Heart (a Good Flights initiative), which aims to reduce euthanasia by preventing and treating heartworm disease in shelter dogs, while transporting adoptable asymptomatic heartworm-positive dogs to safety.
Chewy became a Greater Good Charities partner in 2018, and within three years had donated more than hundreds of trucks’ worth of pet essentials including food to the GOODS Program. Chewy also offers assistance in times of disaster, including donating supplies for the Ukraine crisis in 2022.
BARK became a Greater Good Charities partner in 2022, donating $10 million worth of pet beds to animal shelters to boost their adoption drives, and to pet-friendly domestic violence and homeless shelters to help families in crisis create a haven for their pet.
Since 2022, Dutch Harbor Brands has partnered with Greater Good Charities to donate more than $3 million dollars worth of product for disaster relief. In addition to their in-kind donations, they have participated in match campaigns to fund out programs.
For every pet-friendly hotel reservation made in April 2022, BringFido donated $1 to Greater Good Charities’ Ukraine relief efforts to provide food, shelter, and veterinary care where needed.
By donating portions of proceeds from its themed bath bomb and candle sales, Fragrant Jewels supports Girls’ Voices and Project Peril, as well as Greater Good Charities partners protecting species including sea turtles, elephants, tigers and pandas.
A longtime Greater Good Charities partner, Hartz supports GGC through its Hartz Loving Paws program, providing financial and in-kind donations for Good Flights and Rescue Rebuild in several states. Hartz employees are also enthusiastic volunteers, participating in events such as Good Flights transports to Morristown, New Jersey, in May and September 2022.
A new partner in 2022, Cat Bandit supports Greater Good Charities’ GOODS Program by making a donation for every artist-designed, cat-themed T-shirt and monthly membership sold.
For many years, Greater Good Charities has teamed up with 12 Tomatoes to distribute millions of meals to people experiencing food insecurity. In 2020, in response to the COVID pandemic, we launched the Feed Thy Neighbor campaign with actor Chris Pratt. In 2 months, the campaign generated $625,000 and funded millions of meals for people around the country.
Since the beginning of 2024, 4Paws Bracelets has donated nearly $20,000 in funds to support the feeding of dogs and cats in shelters across the country.

Greater Good Charities has partnered with Amazon's Stream It Forward campaign and Hill's Pet Nutrition for two years. For each hour of FireTV watched during the campaign, $1 is donated to Greater Good Charities.
Over the last several years, Hill’s has supported Greater Good Charities’ Disaster Response program with donations of food, including for rural Alaska during the COVID pandemic. Beginning in 2015, Hill’s has also partnered with GGC and NBC and Telemundo stations on Clear The Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption drive that to date has helped find homes for more than 700,000 animals in need. In 2022, the brand extended its sponsorship to support initiatives to mark Greater Good Charities’ 15th anniversary.
HomeLife Media properties include iHeartDogs and iHeartCats; sales on both sites support Greater Good Charities programs such as GOODS and Good Flights. The partnership has provided millions of meals to shelter pets in need.
IDEXX supports Greater Good Charities with in-kind donations of critical veterinary supplies such as vaccines in times of disaster, including in Ukraine and following the Kentucky floods in July 2022.
IDEXX Foundation is a key supporter of Greater Good Charities’ Disaster Response efforts, providing grants to rebuild Mayfield Graves Animal Shelter following the Kentucky tornadoes in December 2022.
Thanks to the donation of radio spots through its iHeartIMPACT initiative, iHeartMedia helps champion the partnership between Greater Good Charities and Hill’s Pet Nutrition, reaching hundreds of millions of Americans monthly through its 855 stations.
Since establishing a partnership with Greater Good Charities in 2016, the JM Smucker Company has donated pet food and treats worth tens of millions of dollars to GGC’s GOODS Program, and as well as pet food and treats for Good Packs.
For over a decade, Mars Petcare has donated more than 100 million meals to shelter dogs and cats in need through Greater Good Charities’ GOODS Program, as well as via the annual Extend A Paw campaign in collaboration with Walmart. GGC and Mars Petcare have also worked to place thousands of pets in forever homes through multiple collaborations, including Good Home.
With a mission to help dogs in need find loving homes, PEDIGREE Foundation has provided grants to several Greater Good Charities’ Good Flights transports, including the epic Paws Across the Pacific — the largest single pet airlift in history — in 2020.
One of Greater Good Charities’ longest-serving partners, PetSmart Charities has provided tens of millions of dollars' worth of pet food, supplies and cash donations for our Good Flights, GOODS, Disaster Response, Rescue Rebuild and more.

A long-standing Greater Good Charities partner, Purina has to date donated tens of millions of dollars' worth of product as well as financial support to GGC programs including GOODS, Disaster Response, Rescue Rebuild and the annual Shelter Bowl campaign. Purina’s Purple Leash Project, in collaboration with RedRover, also helps support Greater Good Charities’ Don’t Forget The Pets workshops.

Since 2015, Skout’s Honor’s Paw Pledge (through which a day’s worth of food is donated to Greater Good Charities’ GOODS Program for each product sold) has made a significant impact, reaching the 10 million meals milestone in February 2022. In addition, the pet supply company has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of product to GOODS.
Since 2019, Zesty Paws has supported Greater Good Charities in a variety of ways, including through a branded social media campaign (with matching donation component) for GOODS. In 2022, parent company H&H Global joined the list of financial sponsors of Greater Good Charities’ Ukraine relief efforts and also supported GGC’s annual National Feed A Rescue Pet Week with cash and product.
Tito’s Handmade Vodka was a founding sponsor of Greater Good Charities’ Emergency Animal Medical: Keeping Families Together program, which launched as the COVID pandemic began in 2020. Since then, Tito’s and its philanthropic counterpart, Love, Tito’s, have gone on to support other GGC programs, including Disaster Response and Good Fix.
A founding sponsor of Greater Good Charities’ FelineFoster.org site, Royal Canin has helped promote cat fostering through UGC contests such as Flaunt Your Feline and Feline Foster Heroes. The brand also co-sponsored the Paws Across the Pacific life-saving pet flight from Hawaii to the Pacific Northwest in 2020.
Petco Love supports The Jackson Galaxy Program, a GGC program, and its annual National High-Five Day Contest, a component of TJGP’s Cat Pawsitive life-saving initiative for shelter and rescue cats that aims to increase feline adoption rates by instructing shelter/rescue staff and volunteers how to implement positive reinforcement training for cats, that includes a signature move - teaching them to high-five.
Since 2017, Pet-Ag has donated several million dollars’ worth of product to Greater Good Charities’ GOODS Program, including critically needed nutrition for cats and kittens.
Wag! became a Greater Good Charities partner in 2017, and since then has donated more than 16 million meals to help shelter pets in need, including 4.9 million meals as a result of 2021’s successful GivingTuesday campaign in which the pet parent app matched donations dollar for dollar.
Walmart supports Extend A Paw, a two-month-long annual campaign through which Mars Petcare donates one pet meal to GGC’s GOODS Program for every select Mars Petcare product sold at Walmart and via Walmart.com. Following a successful 2021 campaign, in 2022 the target was raised to 2.7 million meals. In 2017, the Walmart Foundation provided a grant to GGC’s post-hurricane Harvey Disaster Response.
