Mountwest Programs
First-Time Freshman Applicants
A degree seeking student who has not previously attended any college after graduating high school or receiving a GED.

High-School Student Applicants
A current high school student taking classes for college credit as Early Entry or Dual Credit.

JumpStart Applicants
Looking to earn some early college credit while you are in high school? Mountwest Community and Technical College in partnership with Wayne County and Cabell County Schools have created several pathways for high school students to begin the college experience while in high school. With reduced tuition costs and a tuition incentive program, students can attend college for a significant savings. The college schedule is built into the regular school day and transportation will be provided if needed.
Students must be a senior and have a minimum GPA of 2.0 or above to enroll.

Re-Admission Applicants
A student who has previously attended Mountwest and has not attended any other college since the last date of attendance.
If you have not been enrolled for more than two (2) semesters, you must reapply.

Transfer Applicants
A student who has attended another accredited college.

If you have completed less than 12 credit hours of college credit, you must also submit official high school transcripts.
Transient/Visiting Applicants
A student taking classes at Mountwest as a visitor with the intent of transferring the classes back to their primary college.
