University’s students are invited to spend their free time improving their skills in dancing, singing, photography at KTU art societies.
Events of the societies, which are led by nationally and internationally renowned professionals, contribute significantly to our country’s cultural life.

KTU Folk Art Ensemble "Nemunas"

SHORT INTRODUCTION
Established in 1949
Awarded the first (highest) category of amateur art societies
Includes dance group, choir members, orchestra, music band
It is KTU art society, which travels the most
Ensemble not only performs in concerts together, nurtures love for music and ethnic culture, but also socializes after rehearsals and studies. This is evidenced by traditions that have been alive among the members of “Nemunas” for many years: Boys’ day, Cementukas, November gatherings, Christenings, Girls’ day, Graduates day, and many others.

I love photography and believe in its future. At KTU Photo Studio I am surrounded by different people, with different understanding and needs. My objective is to observe them and try to help, if needed – to point them into right direction.”

KTU Theater Studio "44"
“First of all, I see theatre as a venue, connecting different disciplines, a safe environment to share what concerns or hurts and a playground, allowing oneself to discover more personal colors and perspectives. As our life habits change, theatre also is changing and tries to answer the questions of today’s concern, is looking for new ways to speak to modern society and to talk to each other. An educational theater, such as the KTU theater studio “44”, also carries an educational mission. Studio members can get acquainted with different theatre schools, approaches, methods of expression, learn from domestic and foreign professionals and thus improve both on a personal and professional level.”
