Westlaw - Spring 2026 Graduates
May 2026 Graduate Access Dates:
Graduating students can extend access for 6 months following graduation by enrolling in the Grad Elite program. Graduates may use their academic accounts for 60 hours a month to gain an understanding of the law, build research skills, and prepare for the bar. Academic accounts may not be used to bill a client.

You can use Thomson Reuters products, for 18-months after graduation. Your “Grad Elite” access gives you 60-hours of usage per month, with no restrictions against using them for professional purposes.

Of particular interest to law students preparing for summer jobs might be
Artificial Intelligence in Law Practice for Summer Associates and Interns
, presented by Professor Daniel W. Linna Jr. of Northwestern. The presentation includes a nice breakdown of the different forms that AI can take in legal practice technologies, with a special focus on the strengths and limitations of the latest generative AI tools.
To quote PLI’s description, viewers of this video should be able to:

First, check your course Canvas site or ask your professor to see if they will be making them available.
Faculty members will sometimes provide copies of past exams for the Law Library to place in binders that students can access at the Circulation Desk. However, it is much more common now for faculty members to post exams to Canvas.
