"This program has been nothing short of transformative. From the eye-opening exploration of Strengths-Based Theory to the deeply reflective and energizing Capstone experience, every moment has challenged, stretched, and uplifted me in ways I never thought possible. This journey has ignited a deeper sense of purpose within me, and I leave the program not only more prepared but more inspired than ever to pursue my goals with clarity and conviction.”
Ruth James
Graduate Fellow,

"Merrimack College's M.Ed. in Nonprofit Management and Community Engagement has been a transformational experience in my personal and professional life. With the opportunity to be a fellow, I am learning through classes as well as through work in a field I have limited experience with that helps me grow every day and become more confident in myself and my ability to make meaningful change in the communities I work with. I get to grow professionally, build my resume, and experience new career paths in a safe environment supported by my peers, faculty, and fellowship site. I would recommend this program to anybody looking to get into community engaged work, the program allows for flexibility and continued work throughout the degree.”
Hunter Malone
Graduate Fellow,
Holyoke Community College
“(The graduate faculty) is what glues my whole experience together. I can remain optimistic, challenged and plugged in (as a remote student) because the people I’ve entrusted with my education are consistent. There’s a saying in Africa— ‘a person is a person through others.’ I am because they have been and they continue to be.”
