Research Membership
The strength of a matrix cancer center is directly linked to bringing talented investigators from across the University. We encourage investigators interested in cancer research collaborations to apply for Penn State Cancer Institute membership. Applicants must hold a faculty appointment at Penn State, Penn State Health, a Penn State Cancer Institute partner or an affiliate institution.
Apply for Membership
Acceptance and/or approval of a membership application is determined by the Executive Committee based on the following criteria:
Major laboratory, clinical or population research interest in cancer
Peer-reviewed cancer research funding
Publications on cancer-related subjects
Desire for active collaboration with other Cancer Institute investigators
Willingness to participate in Cancer Institute activities and committees
It is not mandatory for acceptance of initial membership application to meet all criteria; reasonable criteria are based on the nature of the application and determined by the Executive Committee and the respective scientific program leader. Members will be reviewed on an annual basis to determine compliance with these criteria.
