Renowned academicians from across the country are members of the Research committee that approves the topics for researchers and recommends the award of the Ph.D. degree. The research committee keeps in mind the relevance and suitability of the research project and ensures that exacting standards of research are being followed by the Ph.D. scholars. In order to support its educational work and research, the University has a well-stocked library. The University also maintains laboratories and offers specialized aids to research.
M.Phil and Ph.D programmes are offered in various subjects such as Science, Technology, Social Sciences, Humanities, Vocational Education, Self Employment Programmes, Women Empowerment and Awareness Programmes, etc.
The Counsellors provide all the required support to students, be it matters related to learning, soft skills, career development or personal matters. Mewar University believes in making students feel at home and virtually adopts students for the whole tenure of their academic programme. A full-fledged student welfare officer is available round the clock on the campus to solve the problems of students as soon as possible.

The University actively pursues collaborative ventures with leading foreign Universities to assimilate new developments in academics and create better avenues for students. The University makes sustained efforts to arrange student exchange programmes with domestic and foreign Universities so as to empower the students with the best possible exposure to education process in leading institutions. Last year the university has signed an MOU with AIS ST HELENS University, Newzeland for the purpose and other similar collaborations are in the pipeline.
Placements are sine-qua-non for imparting professional expertise to students. Mewar University boasts of a student driven placement cell that helps to build a positive mindset and direction. The active and self-motivated cell is backed by support from dedicated placement coordinators.
Upholding to the commitment of providing better education , proper training and suitable placements the University has designed the curricular for all the studies in such a way that students have to go for an Industry Interface Programme for full six months, apart to their 45 days training in a training institute.
This programme enables the students to get acquainted with the various aspects of industrial functioning and corporate culture, during their association with particular industry.
On successful and effective completion of training, students are bound to get placement offers from these organizations itself and this helps in addressing the most important aspect of getting a proper placement.

This value added programme attached to main curriculum equips the students with skills that help them in sailing through their main curriculum and in their professional life thereafter. The PD programme helps the students to learn a whole gamut of techniques in order to face professionals and corporate world with added confidence. It also inculcates in them professionalism, work place discipline, personal habits, effective communication, etiquettes to deal with officials besides creating self confidence.
English Language has always been given an extra edge to the Indian students in the international market and even in the domestic market. In this respect, adequate emphasis has been placed on learning English all through the course of study that provide extra opportunity to all the students to improve their ability to read, speak, write and understand the language effectively. One paper of general awareness & PDP and a paper of English has been included in the regular curricula.
Knowledge stored in the brain and not expressed either through speech or through writing is futile. So there are many co-curricular programmes being held every weekend by different departments of the University to expose the hidden talents of students. There are music, art, dance, drama, debate, presentation, essay writing competitions and group discussion at intra departmental and inter-institution allevels with a view to ensuring complete participation of students.
Through intensive study without break, the mind gets stressed. In order to release the pent up stress and strain, periodic visits are planned by different departments of the University for according an opportunity to the students to enjoy nature and culture of this incredible nation so as to get rejuvenated. It helps them to learn communication, leadership, crisis management and team building in a very conducive and challenging environment.
The educational programmes in the University follow latest methods of a 360 degree feedback system to keep enriching the course content, teaching methodology and the academic environment. While the students are continuously assessed for their performance, they also play a role in assessing their teachers and staff. The feedback is seriously analysed to introduce systemic improvement through counseling and other proactive actions.
The University has opted for ultra modern standards and semester system for conducting examinations so as to make education stress free. Grading-based evaluation and modern methodology of assessing performance are further steps taken to follow new standards in education. The system is being continuously upgraded to keep pace with the development taking place in various other institution of learning and also to enable Mewar University to introduce a practically oriented examination system which is student friendly but at the same time able to assess one’s potential in a very impartial manner.
The University provides scholarships to deserving and meritorious students enrolling for Under-graduate programmes. The criteria of entitlement for scholarship is as follows:
MU Scholarships: 75% tuition fee exemption to students securing 90% & above in (10+2). The same criteria is applicable for subsequent examinations on yearly basis
Meritorious student Scholarships: 25% of tuition fee exemption to students securing 85% & above in (10+2)
A chair would be instituted in each faculty. The topper of each faculty is reimbursed tution fees for one full year by the respective chair. The first such chair has been instituted in the faculty of Engineering & Technology in the name of Shri Nand Lal Gadiya, respected father of the Chairperson.
Extra-Curricular Excellence Scholarships: One student from each faculty, adjudged for excellence in extra-curricular activities like sports, oratory, presentation, cultural activity etc. will be reimbursed 50% of the tuition fee.
Scholarship Schemes of Central and State governments for SC/ST/ OBC/J&K/Northeast Students are applicable as per the criteria fixed by the respective government.
Skill Development Programme
Objective of the Practice: This is basically to provide skill related training to unemployed youth of India, Men and Women both (16-36 years of age), in order to enhance their skills, make them employable and get them Job / Self-employment in related areas.
The Context: Skills and knowledge are the motivating force of the financial growth and community development of any country. They have become even more important given the increasing pace of globalization and technological changes provide both challenges that are taking place in the world.
