Fascimile copy of the indenture for land given from (father) Symon Jacobse Van Winckle to (sons) Jacob Van Winckle, Simeon van Winkel, Marinus Van Winckel, and Abraham Van Winckel, July 29, 1729. -- Symon Jacobse Van Winckle was one of the original partners of the Achquegnonck (Acquackanock) Patent in Essex County. Accompanying packet of information incorrectly dates the indenture as "July 29, 1728" and it happening in the "seventh year of the Regin of Our Sovereign Lord George the Second." King George II reigned from 1727 to 1760. The "seventh year" would have been 1734, not 1728. The word in the indenture is actually "second year" not seventh year, making it 1729, not 1728.
