One Priesthood, Many Ages: Renewing Fraternity in the New England Presbyterate | Summer Conference for Priests
June 17th, 2026
08:00 am
to
June 17th, 2026
12:30 pm
Saint John's Seminary
Saint John’s Seminary is pleased to host a morning of prayer, reflection, and fraternal encounter for priests across New England:
“One Priesthood, Many Ages: Renewing Fraternity in the New England Presbyterate.”
Held on
Wednesday, June 17 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
at Saint John’s Seminary, this gathering is an opportunity to strengthen trust, mutual reverence, and shared mission among newly ordained and long-serving priests alike.
Rooted in the unity of the priesthood of Christ, the day reflects on how priestly fraternity shapes the life of the Church—nourishing parish health, fostering vocations, strengthening evangelization, and deepening priestly joy. As Psalm 133 reminds us:
“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!”
This program is offered under the
Refiner’s Fire initiative
of Saint John’s Seminary, dedicated to ongoing priestly formation and continuing education for clergy in New England and beyond.
Registration fee: $49
*Priest only conference
Accommodations are available upon request for those traveling from a distance.
Featured Topics
One priesthood in Christ
Rev. Michael J. Najim,
Vicar for Priests, Diocese of Providence
Drawing from Hebrews 5–7,
Lumen Gentium
28, and
Presbyterorum Ordinis
2 & 8, this session reflects on the unity of the priesthood in Christ, where differences in age, experience, and assignment become gifts within one sacramental identity.
Fraternity is mission-critical
Rev. James J. Ronan,
Pastor
Emeritus, St. Mary–St. Catherine of Siena Parish
The communion of the presbyterate is not secondary—it directly shapes the health of parishes, the flourishing of vocations, the effectiveness of evangelization, and the joy of priestly life.
Grace builds on nature
Most Rev. Robert Reed,
Auxiliary Bishop of Boston; President, CatholicTV; Rector Designate, Saint John’s Seminary
Healthy fraternity requires clarity, communication, and structure so that grace may fully flourish in priestly life and collaboration.
