Throw on your best (or worst!) holiday sweater
and join City staff and Santa Monica Spoke for a bike tour of the Bergamot Area First/Last Mile Improvements.
We’ll kick things off with an overview of our tour, and a quick bike-handling refresher and safety tips at 10:00 AM, then roll out at 10:30 AM for a guided ride featuring key stops that highlight new design features, treatments, and how to use them confidently.
- Meet at 17th St/SMC Metro Station: 10am
- Route ends at: 19th St and Expo Bike Path.
*If you rent a Metro bike, you can return it at the 17th St/SMC Station. - Post Ride Cheer: After the ride, everyone is invited to continue the holiday cheer with a casual meetup at Santa Monica Brew Works.
Thanks to Waymo, we’ll buy your first beverage!
Can’t make the tour? Join us at Santa Monica Brew Works at noon!
Optional: Bring an unwrapped toy, which SM Spoke will distribute to children in need this holiday season via our friends at the Church in Ocean Park.

I support the City’s commitment to safer streets and more protected bike lanes. Please prioritize improving bike and pedestrian infrastructure and Vision Zero. The City must continue the overwhelming community supported commitment to prioritize and protect vulnerable road users, like people walking and biking, with more protected bike lanes and streets designed to be safer for everyone.
