This contradiction may be caused by the change of their religion point of view.

This study interprets digital capitalism as a modern myth by employing Ernst Cassirer's philosoph... more This study interprets digital capitalism as a modern myth by employing Ernst Cassirer's philosophy of symbolic forms, thereby offering a philosophical reflection on the role of digitality within contemporary cultural contexts. Cassirer emphasizes that human beings are essentially symbolic animals who apprehend the world through symbolic forms, which structure how reality is constructed, mediated, and interpreted. In the digital age, capitalism operates as an economic and dominant symbolic form that organizes human perception and meaning-making processes. Within Cassirer's framework, digital capitalism can be read as a modern myth because it performs a symbolic conversion mechanism: transforming experiences, relationships, and cultural values into commodities for capital accumulation. Although it emerges from a rational and scientific discourse, this myth continues to assert itself by establishing cultural hegemony in digital life. The study argues for the urgency of developing symbolic literacy to unveil the mythic structures of digital capitalism critically and for creating alternative cultural spaces rooted in dialogue and intersubjective relations. Such efforts are necessary to foster critical awareness and resist the totalizing influence of capitalist myth in shaping digital reality.

The rationality of Nyadran as a cultural and philosophical Nusantara phenomenon needs to be studi... more The rationality of Nyadran as a cultural and philosophical Nusantara phenomenon needs to be studied, including Nyadran at Kemloko. The research aims to explain the Nyadran tradition, history, and the rationality of society. The data was collected by observation, interviews, literature review. We conducted observations of Nyadran practitioners in Kemloko hamlet, Temanggung, Central Java, and carried out in-depth interviews using purposive sampling based on key figures involved in the implementation of Nyadran in Kemloko. The data were examined through the lens of cultural rationality, which combines cultural and rational choice perspectives to explain behavior in political and social contexts. The results of the study, first, Nyadran in Kemloko was carried out in the months of Ruwah and Rajab, the month before Ramadan, coinciding with Friday. Kenduri Nyadran is performed at home or tomb and its implementation develops according to community conditions. Second, Nyadran has existed since the pre-Majapahit era and has grown to this day. Third, the implementation of Nyadran is based on traditional, affective, instrumental rationality and value rationality. Nyadran is an act of following the traditions of parents and ancestors. Affectionately, Nyadran is a proof of respect, obedience and devotion, as well as self-melting in society. Nyadran instrumentally becomes a means of showing devotion, a means of praying, a means of socializing, and a means of entertainment. The values contained in Nyadran are considered not to conflict with religious values and goodness in local culture.

But on the other hand, with the evolution of the Med-Medan tradition, it has undergone transformation from its implementation and arrangement, and it is most visible when the Med-Medan tradition is used as a heritage. The development of Japanese popular culture is spreading worldwide, especially in Indonesia. Indo... more The development of Japanese popular culture is spreading worldwide, especially in Indonesia. Indonesia has a diversity of local wisdom values and national culture that is rich in culture with noble traditions and artistic values that are now starting to erode Japanese popular foreign culture. The research findings explain that there are people in a community, especially the Yogyakarta, Jakarta and Bandung areas, who are eroded by Japanese culture by demonstrating that fashion and language are products of Japanese popular culture, which has implications for the loss of inherent national identity as national identity. In this case, Koentjaraningrat's cultural philosophy from the perspective of the seven cultural elements answers how to prevent a developed nation from being eroded by westernization from Western (Japanese) influences without eliminating local wisdom and cultural values by strengthening national culture.

This article explains the mystical practices of Javanese shamans (dukun) called wong pinter and a... more This article explains the mystical practices of Javanese shamans (dukun) called wong pinter and analyzes different types of these practices by comparing definitions, actions, and mystical features discussed in various studies. This article uses field studies and in-depth interviews, the data were analyzed based on theories of mysticism. The study shows that the wong pinter also practices mysticism rooted in Islam and manifests in history especially the history of Islamic mysticism in Indonesia in general and in Java in particular. The study finds that the characteristics of shamans mysticism are substantive, non-formalist, and altruistic. This finding supports the view that shamanism is rooted in Islamic mysticism and is open to discourses of mysticism from other religions. This study does not discuss the level of mystical actions nor does it distinguish categories of mystical practices found in many shaman groups.

Karena materi sudah tersedia, maka kunci keberhasilannya terletak pada bagaimana proses pembelajaran dilakukan. Pengembangan metode pembelajaran sudah banyak dilakukan baik oleh institusi mapun dosen secara individual. Pemerintah melalui materi pokok matakuliah yang ditetapkan secara nasional sudah memberikan petunjuk proses pembelajaran yang diharapkan. Pada praktiknya, dosen tetap akan membuat modelnya sendiri untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang ditentukan dan menyesuaikan dengan pengalaman dan kemampuannya. Penulis sudah melakukan pengembangan metode pembelajaran dan menemukan model yang relatif baik dengan tetap mendasarkan pada buku acuan, mengelaborasi kemampuan mahasiswa, dan menerapkan secara kolaboratif beberapa metode pembelajaran. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan metode yang dikembangkan, memaparkan hasil evaluasi mahasiswa terhadap unsur-unsur metode yang dikembangkan, menganalisis ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran, dan merefleksikan diseminasi metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode yang diterapkan direspons baik dan diapresiasi oleh mahasiswa. .Model pembelajaran dianggap sesuai dengan yang diharapkan mahasiswa. Metode yang diterapkan mampu memberikan pemahaman materi baik pada sisi teori maupun implementasinya, mengembangkan soft skills, memberikan pengalaman-pengalaman baru, dan meningkatkan kemampuan bekerja dalam tim. Diperlukan pola diseminasi dari model pembelajaran ini dan kajian yang menjamin bahwa metode ini terus dikembangkan dan dievaluasi menuju capaian lulusan yang diharapkan.

Sunan Kudus is one of the Walisongo (the nine revered saints of Islam in Indonesia) figures with ... more Sunan Kudus is one of the Walisongo (the nine revered saints of Islam in Indonesia) figures with a particular way of delivering his teachings. To adapt to the community when conveying the teachings of Islam, he employed art and culture as a medium, established architectural foundations, and established social harmony, so much so that the people of Kudus became relatively untouched by horizontal conflicts. This article aims to explore the cultural adaptation models carried out by Sunan Kudus, find the underlying life principles he utilized, and analyze the thoughts and value principles he maintained within the conceptual framework of self-relationship and self-other relationship. The current research is a field study supported by literary data. The research results of this study indicate that he carried out approaches to the community by emphasizing attitudes of mutual respect, humility, and capacity to benefit the surrounding environment. He demonstrated ways of gaining public sympathy through caution and gradual progress. He entered the community’s life, approached the community members, and understood the things they needed. He applied a cultural approach and technology to help the community fulfil its needs. Prioritizing fostering tolerance among them, he highly encouraged the promotion of community approach that avoided the use of violent means. This study complements the literature on Sunan Kudus about the concept of self-other. This is a new finding concerning the life concepts of Sunan Kudus in his relationship with others, with these concepts functioning as a means for him to win the hearts and minds of the people of Kudus to follow the teachings of Islam and to consider him as a role model. The study results have yet to reveal the concept of self-other in terms of the relationship between human beings (Sunan Kudus) and other creatures.

makna perubahan identitas desa adat di tengah pembangunan pariwisata
budaya di Bali. Pengembangan pariwisata budaya di Bali sangat
berpengaruh terhadap kedudukan desa adat, mengingat tujuan pariwisata
budaya sebagai daya tarik untuk mempromosikan Bali melalui kekayaan
budaya, justru berbanding terbalik menjadi budaya Bali untuk pariwisata.
Persoalan ini kemudian menyebabkan terjadinya pemaknaan, perumusan,
dan pencarian ulang identitas desa adat sebagai benteng budaya Bali, guna
merespon dampak negatif pariwisata terhadap budaya Bali. Teknik
pengumpulan data adalah studi kepustakaan untuk memperoleh data
tentang desa adat dan historis perkembangan pariwisata di Bali. Data yang
diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis dengan unsur-unsur metodis yaitu,
hereustika, interpretasi, dan deskripsi untuk mengungkap makna
perubahan dalam identitas desa adat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan,
identitas desa adat di tengah dinamika pembangunan pariwisata budaya di
Bali, terus-menerus mengalami pemaknaan secara ulang. Upaya ini
dilakukan pemerintah maupun orang-orang Bali untuk mempertahankan,
melestarikan, dan memastikan keberlanjutan tradisi di dalam desa adat
dari dampak negatif pariwisata. Perubahan identitas desa adat ditandai dengan perubahan dari identitas
desa adat dengan sifat tradisional yang alami, menjadi identitas formal berdasarkan rumusan yang
dibentuk, serta perubahan identitas yang jamak dengan ciri khas dan karakteristik masing-masing desa
adat, menjadi identitas yang bersifat general atau disamakan secara keseluruhan dalam bentuk yang
terorganisir. Perubahan dalam identitas desa adat merupakan bentuk positioning, yaitu diposisikan dan
memposisikan desa adat dalam merespon dinamika pembangunan pariwisata nasional melalui wacana
pariwisata budaya di Bali.

One of them is Tribuana Manggala Bakti which contains universal values in nature conservation. The purpose of this study is to describe the dynamics of the Menoreh community in terms of managing the natural environment, to describe Tribuana Manggala Bakti as Buddhist spirituality, and to analyze the role of Tribuana Manggala Bakti spirituality with universal values in Menoreh environmental management. This research is a qualitative research with library research. This study uses the theory of using Capra's holistic spiritual theory in understanding the function and purpose of Tribuana Manggala Bakti. Menoreh's natural resource management started from an ideational culture to a sensate culture. Sensate culture is seen when people begin to exploit natural resources. Tribuana Manggala Bakti originated from the concern of Buddhists towards the Menoreh nature. Tribuana Manggala Bakti is a series of Vesak events in the form of taking Vesak holy water followed by tree planting, and releasing fish and birds. The release of animals and the planting of trees as a tangible form of awareness of the importance of nature that underlies the behavior of an environmentally friendly lifestyle, protecting and caring for the environment. As said by Fritjof Capra as one of the real solutions to the environmental crisis. In Ecoliteracy Capra, realizing the importance of nature has an impact on environmentally friendly lifestyle behavior, protecting and caring for the environment.

Secara historis yang disampaikan secara lisan oleh masyarakat di Banjar Kaja tidak terlepas dari dunia yang sifatnya mitologi. Dengan demikian tradisi ini sangat dominan dengan aspek religius. Namun di sisi lain dengan perkembangannya tradisi Med-Medan ini telah mengalami perubahan dari segi pelaksanaan serta penataannya, dan paling nampak ketika tradisi Med-Medan ini dijadikan sebagai heritage. Dalam menggali data, penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis, yaitu dengan mendeskripiskan dan menganalisis data-data yang telah dihimpun, serta dilanjutkan dengan analisis kritis dengan menggunakan tahapan perkembangan kebudayaan dari C. A. van Peursen. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah 1) pada tahap mitis tradisi Med-Medan ini dilaksanakan karena kehendak raja, dan karena kemunculan babi secara misterius. 2) pada tahap ontologis tradisi ini sebagai bentuk perwujudan rasa solidaritas, bersaudara, saling asah, asih dan asuh dan penerapan konsep Tri Hita Karana. 3) Komodifikasi menjadi titik utama dalam tahapan fungsional dengan munculnya "Sesetan Heritage Omed-Omedan Festival".

Climate change and consumption of sustainable resources are global issues internalized in the Sus... more Climate change and consumption of sustainable resources are global issues internalized in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In fact, local wisdom has accommodated the concept of sustainable development. However, local wisdom is currently less involved in the SDGs. This research seeks to ensure that local wisdom, including the Mentawai Arat Sabulungan (AS), can support SDGs 12 and 13 in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to explore the position and role of the AS, to analyze the correlation between the AS and the SDGs mission to address climate change and sustainable resource consumption, and to formulate efforts to implement national SDGs points 12 and 13 through a cultural approach. The research method used is qualitative research by collecting data through interviews, observation, and literature studies. The results of this study are: First, AS is the belief system of the Mentawai people as an ecological awareness that is based on sacred values and functions as a religious principle, social norm, and environmental conservation. Second, the AS concept of sacred ecology has relevance to the SDGs on sustainable consumption and efforts to deal with climate change. Third, the strategy for implementing SDGs points 12 and 13 can be carried out by localizing it.

researc... more Rasulan is a tradition in Java; it's one form of Javanese Slametan (a ritual meal). This
research aims to describe the Rasulan, explains the role of the worldview and how
the elements of culture, religion and the spirit of the nationality are compromised
and changed therein. This research is a mix of library and field studies, utilizing
the theory of worldview. Results show that Rasulan is not a religious tradition,
but a harvest celebration, taking the form of gratitude in the agrarian society.
It consists of world views of space, time, causality and self-other relationships,
which constructs how people practice Rasulan within community life. Compromise
in the values of tradition, religion and social life occurs with the incorporation of
religious events on respecting and appreciating religious groups in the commu-
nity. This study contributes to the strengthening of the view that Rasulan is not a
religious ritual, but a cultural activity

Therefore, the wide argumentation leads people to consider all of the aspects when they discourse and imply this freedom in life. which constructs how people practice Rasulan within community life. Compromise
in the values of tradition, religion and social life occurs with the incorporation of
religious events on respecting and appreciating religious groups in the commu-

religious ritual, but a cultural activity
