Invitation to Save Wimbledon Park Public Meetings on 16th April and 22nd April 2026
Save Wimbledon Park (SWP) would like to update you on progress made in opposing the current plans put forward by the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC): SWP believes that AELTC should stop and think again.
It’s been a busy few weeks with court cases and the intervention of the House Of Lords, whilst still to come are the local elections and their impact on the restrictive 1993 covenants. There is much to say!
At these meetings local architect Ken McFarlane and tennis “master planner” Richard Rees will present their alternative proposals for the former Wimbledon Park Golf Course. Their plans offer a better solution to AELTC’s requirements, while causing less environmental harm and allowing greater public access. There will be plenty of time for you to talk to Ken and Richard about their plans.
Meetings as follows:
Thursday 16th April 1900 – 2130:
St Barnabas Church
146 Lavenham Road
Southfields SW 18 5EP
Wednesday 22nd April 1900 – 2130
St Marks Church
St Marks Place
Wimbledon SW19 7ND
