Student, faculty, staff & the community are invited to the Lawton Farmer's Market as the CU Aggie Club & Biology Club will offer a wonderful selection of Aggie grown plants over the next several weeks. On April 4, the Biology Club will be selling a variety of houseplants. Plants will include (but are not limited to) pothos, philodendron, hoya, dracaena, succulents, sansevieria, and more. Some of these beautiful plants will be featured in hand-painted pots donated by Dr. Dana Lee, Associate Professor in the Department of Agriculture, Biology, and Health Sciences.
On April 11, 18, & 25, the Aggie Club will be selling a variety of vegetable plants including bell peppers, sugar snap peas, cucumbers, several tomato varieties, and more.
While you're there, be sure to ask the Aggie Club about a chance to win a side of premium beef. Only 100 tickets per side will be sold (at $50 each) for the Black Angus Beef, which is non-GMO, antibiotic free and raised by the club. Pork lovers can also inquire about how to order the club's quality Black and Gold-brand pork.

Industry Tour at Townsquare Media

The Student Enrichment Center has coordinated this event with Townsquare Media. Students will be able to learn about potential career paths in marketing and radio while getting an inside look at the inner workings of an advertising agency and radio station. Students who want to attend will need to fill out a T-8 Voluntary Assumption of Risk and Informed Consent Form and turn it into the Student Enrichment Center (Nance-Boyer 2075) by Friday, March 27th. Students will be transported to Townsquare Media in CU vehicles.

An FFA Interscholastic Competition (FFIC) is an event where high school agricultural education students gather to compete in academic and skill-based contests related to agriculture. The goal of an FFIC is to strengthen agricultural education, encourage student leadership and career exploration, and connect high school students with agricultural college and industry opportunities. This year's competition includes Agronomy, Food Science, Ag Sales, and two Quiz Bowls.

C.A.S.T. for Kids

The CU Education Department has teamed up with C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation to host a free fishing experience for kids ages 6-21 who have disabilities. This event enables children with special needs and their caretakers to come together with community volunteers for a fun day of fishing. Space is limited to 40 participants and pre-registration is required - see registration link below. Children must have a parent or guardian stay with them for the entirety of the event. Family is welcome to attend lunch and the awards ceremony that ends the day. Volunteers are also needed - especially experienced anglers with basic knowledge who can work one-on-one with youngsters and help set up fishing tackle. Additional volunteers are needed to help with event set-up and clean-up, registration, and preparing and serving lunch. Student, faculty, staff & the community are invited to the Lawton Farmer's Market as the CU Aggie Club & Biology Club will offer a wonderful selection of Aggie grown plants over the next several weeks. On April 4, the Biology Club will be selling a variety of houseplants. Plants will include (but are not limited to) pothos, philodendron, hoya, dracaena, succulents, sansevieria, and more. Some of these beautiful plants will be featured in hand-painted pots donated by Dr. Dana Lee, Associate Professor in the Department of Agriculture, Biology, and Health Sciences. On April 11, 18, & 25, the Aggie Club will be selling a variety of vegetable plants including bell peppers, sugar snap peas, cucumbers, several tomato varieties, and more. While you're there, be sure to ask the Aggie Club about a chance to win a side of premium beef. Only 100 tickets per side will be sold (at $50 each) for the Black Angus Beef, which is non-GMO, antibiotic free and raised by the club. Pork lovers can also inquire about how to order the club's quality Black and Gold-brand pork.

The CU Department or Art, Music & Theatre Arts presents the 2026 Fine Arts Summer Art Institute, for youth ages 13-18. There will be 2 sessions. Session 1 will be on the following Fridays: June 5, 12, 19 & 26 from 9 a.m.-Noon. This session will cover drawing & portfolio development. Students will participate in a variety of drawing assignments under the direction of professional artists. These workshops are specifically designed to increase students perceptual observation skills through various drawing techniques with traditional media including graphite, charcoal, and conte. Areas of artistic development will include drawing, traditional subject matter (still life and figure), interaction of drawing and design, and abstraction and thematic variations. Session 2 will be on the following Fridays: July 3, 10, 17 & 24 from 9 a.m.-Noon. This session will cover digital art. Students will be introduced to several graphics software programs include Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. They will use the Wacom drawing tablets for production of computer-generated imagery. Session 1 will be on the following Fridays: June 5, 12, 19 & 26 from 9 a.m.-Noon. This session will cover drawing & portfolio development. Students will participate in a variety of drawing assignments under the direction of professional artists. These workshops are specifically designed to increase students perceptual observation skills through various drawing techniques with traditional media including graphite, charcoal, and conte. Areas of artistic development will include drawing, traditional subject matter (still life and figure), interaction of drawing and design, and abstraction and thematic variations. Session 2 will be on the following Fridays: July 3, 10, 17 & 24 from 9 a.m.-Noon. This session will cover digital art. Students will be introduced to several graphics software programs include Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. They will use the Wacom drawing tablets for production of computer-generated imagery. Creative Expressions (Art Camp)

The CU Department or Art, Music & Theatre Arts and Very Special Arts Oklahoma present the 2026 Creative Expressions: Art in the Afternoons. There are 4 sessions from 2-5 p.m. with 3 different age groups. Age group 6-8, 9-10, & 11-12. Session 1 is June 1-4 & 8-11. Session 2 is June 15-18 & 22-25. Session 3 is June 29-July 2 & July 6-9. Session 4 is July 13-16 & July 20-23. The fee is $135 per session, per child, with a 20% discount for an additional child. The curriculum includes computer classes - creative expression through the computer, and traditional media - painting, drawing, mixed media, printmaking, & three-dimensional art. CU Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Training Session
@ Aggie Rec Center, SES Activity Room
The CU Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) Club will host regular practices on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 5-6:30 p.m. These practices are open to any student/faculty/staff who is either experienced or brand-new to the sport. Practices for the Spring 2026 semester ended on May 1, 2026. Summer practices begin on May 27 and go through July 24.

Fine Arts Summer Art Institute

The CU Department or Art, Music & Theatre Arts presents the 2026 Fine Arts Summer Art Institute. There will be 2 sessions. Session 1 will be on the following Fridays: June 5, 12, 19 & 26 from 9 a.m.-Noon. This session will cover drawing & portfolio development. Students will participate in a variety of drawing assignments under the direction of professional artists. These workshops are specifically designed to increase students perceptual observation skills through various drawing techniques with traditional media including graphite, charcoal, and conte. Areas of artistic development will include drawing, traditional subject matter (still life and figure), interaction of drawing and design, and abstraction and thematic variations. Session 2 will be on the following Fridays: July 3, 10, 17 & 24 from 9 a.m.-Noon. This session will cover digital art. Students will be introduced to several graphics software programs include Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. They will use the Wacom drawing tablets for production of computer-generated imagery. Computer graphics and image enhancement, aesthetics and technology will be emphasized. Eash session is $40 per student. For more information, the contacts are listed below.
