Advanced Train the Trainer (ATTT) 2025
, tentatively in the second week of October 2025 at IIIT-Hyderabad.
The program is for experienced Wikimedians who have attended TTT earlier and wish to deepen their leadership, thematic expertise, and practical skills. It will run in parallel
tracks
Evaluation, Impact, and Data Storytelling
– Measure, analyse, and communicate the impact of Wikimedia initiatives.
Project Design Challenge
– Develop a 3-month project with mentoring and planning tools.

We are pleased to inform you that the deadline to submit your Expression of Interest has been extended until
26 August
. The
Advanced Train the Trainer
(ATTT) 2025 will be held on
10, 11, and 12 October 2025 at IIIT-Hyderabad
ATTT is designed for experienced Wikimedians who have or have not previously participated in Train the Trainer, but wish to develop further their leadership, thematic expertise, and practical application skills. The training will run in two thematic tracks:
Evaluation, Impact, and Data Storytelling
– Learn to measure, analyse, and narrate the impact of Wikimedia initiatives through hands-on labs and peer feedback.
Project Design: From Learning to Action
– Work on a 3-month project with mentoring and planning tools, turning learning into impactful, context-driven initiatives.

Migration to Parsoid
Read this in another language
Hello everyone! I am glad to inform you that as the next step in the
Parser Unification
project, Parsoid will soon be turned on as the default article renderer on your wiki. We are gradually increasing the number of wikis using Parsoid, with the intention of making it the default wikitext parser for MediaWiki's next long-term support release. This will make our wikis more reliable and consistent for editors, readers, and tools to use, as well as making the development of future wikitext features easier.
If this disrupts your workflow, don’t worry! You can still opt out through a user preference or turn Parsoid off on the current page using the Tools submenu, as described in the
Extension:ParserMigration
documentation.
There is
more information about our roll-out strategy
available, including the testing done before we turn on Parsoid for a new wiki.

Foundation’s Annual Plan
is a high-level roadmap for what the organisation aims to achieve in the coming year. It includes not only the foundation’s Goals, Progress, and plan but also a summary of Global Trends that impact the present and future of our movement.
This is the right time for the South Asia community to participate and share their thoughts on the Wikimedia Foundation’s annual plan, helping shape it together. Share your hopes, concerns, bold ideas, and specific requests to contribute to the Foundation’s planning.
