Our Mission
Veterans on Deck works to prevent and treat the invisible wounds that affect members of our Armed Forces, during and after their service, through a therapeutic sailing program that offers holistic support and resiliency training. There is no fee to participate and come sail with us.
Our Location
Tranquility (30 foot) and DD214 (34.5 foot) are docked at The Harborage at Ashley Marina, 33 Lockwood Drive, Charleston SC.
First Light (35.5 foot) is docked at the Cooper River County Park and Marina, 1010 Tidewater Road, North Charleston, SC.
We sail in Charleston Harbor, weather permitting. Check our Veterans on Deck Facebook page for any weather-related cancellations.
Our Sailing Schedule
We currently sail three days a week, 1PM to 3PM
Tuesdays-Men’s Sail
Wednesdays-Women’s Sail and All-Comers Sail
Fridays: All-Comers Sail
Pre-registration is not required but due to limited space on board, signing up via our calendar will take precedence over walk-ups.
If you’re interested in sailing with us and would like to reserve a spot on our boat, choose Come Sailing from the option menu at the top-right corner of this page, then click on
Reserve a Day and Time
. Please review the
liability form and fill out the online form
prior to attending your first sail. You will have an option to email the completed liability form to your email. Please show that email to the captain on the day of your sail.
