I am Lucien Mahin (often written "Lucyin" in Walloon belles-lettres), born in Villance, Wallonia, Belgium and grown in the neighbouring village of Transinne.
My mother tongue was Walloon, an endangered language of the roman family. That 's why I am spending a great part of my leisure time writing, publishing and researching on that language. For that reason, I became a manager on the Walloon Wiki. Further on, in 2009, I started to develop Walloon Wiktionary. Within Walloon dictionary, I came to further study, from own learning and available documentation, vernacular languages of Morocco, i.e. Moroccan Arabic and tifinagh-basedMoroccan Amazigh. It allowed me to modestly contribuate to Wikipedia's in both languages, which began in 2024 (here and here).
I was educated in French and was graduated DVM degree of the University of Liège in 1977. I left Belgium soon afterwards to Morocco, where I am still practicing now. I taught the pathology of the ruminants, especially the practical training, in the Agronomical and Veterinary Institute, Rabat from 1977 to 1985. Since 1989, I am working as a field veterinary practitionner in Sidi Smaïl, El Jadida province, dealing with cattle, sheep, industrial poultry (broilers and parent flocks) and farm equidees (horses, mules and donkeys) in the agricultural region of Doukkala.
