Scholarship Opportunities
Veteran Student Services helped me, tremendously, in my transition to civilian life. In addition to being a great resource to veterans like myself, VSS also gave me the opportunity to become a part of the student support staff. Being a VA work study helped me financially and gave me a quiet place to work and study.
Admission to Embry-Riddle
Embry-Riddle’s specialized focus on aviation, aerospace, engineering and technology offers career paths that are meaningful and in demand.
Four start terms each year offer flexibility in choosing when to begin your studies.
Whether you are a veteran, active service member, or military dependent interested in using VA Education Benefits, we work to make sure your transition is as smooth as possible, right from the beginning.
We’re test optional, so there’s no need to submit SAT or ACT scores along with your application for admission. If you’ve attended college after high school, we’ll need your official college transcripts.
If you’ve earned fewer than 30 college credits, we will need your official high school transcript as well.
Areas of study often compliment skills gained while serving and we’ll request a copy of your Joint Services Transcript in order to maximize transfer credit.
Reach out to us to help identify the right academic path for you.
Tip:
Contact us to request a waiver code so that you don’t have to pay the $50 application fee.

Enrollment and Advisement
As you plan your transition to campus, we’ll be here to help every step of the way. From submitting appropriate forms to confirm eligibility, to certifying your enrollment, we’ll work to simplify the process for you.
You’ll have the option to register for your courses before you arrive on campus and after consulting with your academic advisor, or you can register for courses during

Orientation
takes place in the days immediately before the start of each term
and is a great way to learn about the campus and connect with other students.
The staff at Veteran Student Services made my transition from the military to student life easier by helping me understand the process and setting me up for success
VSS was incredibly helpful with my transition from the military. They made sure that my VA benefits were properly processed.
Financing
Embry-Riddle is honored to partner with the Department of Veteran Affairs to support those eligible to receive educational benefits.
We’ll work to ensure you receive as much financial support as possible.
We encourage all students to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to supplement military benefits when possible.
Your award letter from the VA will detail funding each term.

Support & Involvement
Financial support and academic support are key to succeeding in college.
But the support of people who share your goals, are committed to your well-being and dedicated to serving you is what sets us apart.
In addition to professional staff who will assist in understanding and processing your benefits,
Student Veterans Organization
and
Faculty 4 Veterans
are two of the groups on campus who share a history of military service and offer guidance in transitioning from military to college.
