Convene 4 Climate Advisory Board
Opportunity for
: Event Organizers, Marketers, Suppliers, Sustainability Professionals, and NextGen Members
Description
: This Advisory Board advances PCMA’s Convene 4 Climate initiative, which mobilizes the global business events community to drive measurable climate action and sustainability transformation. Members collaborate with PCMA staff and industry peers to identify sustainable practices, share insights, and champion initiatives that drive positive social and environmental impact. The group will also shape educational content and partnerships, that inspire climate-smart innovation and sustainable transformation across the Business Events Industry.

: Up to 15
Time Commitment
: 2-3 hours per month for advisory input, collaboration, and advocacy activities

Convening Leaders: PCMA U Onsite Mentor

Opportunity for

Description
: This opportunity connects industry professionals with students participating in the PCMA U program at Convening Leaders. Mentors guide small groups through workshop discussions and share professional insights during the session.

Convening Leaders: Volunteer Opportunities
Opportunity for
: PCMA members registered or planning to register for Convening Leaders
Description
: This opportunity is open to PCMA members attending Convening Leaders who are interested in assisting with a variety of onsite volunteer roles. As volunteer needs are confirmed, details will be shared with interested members to confirm their availability. Examples include facilitating conversation starters, serving as Convening Leaders ambassadors, or assisting with First Timers.

edUcon - Call for Proposals Review Task Force
Opportunity for:
Organizers, suppliers, next-gen professionals, and faculty members who can evaluate session proposals without bias.
Description:
Task Force members are responsible for evaluating and rating session proposals for PCMA’s 2025 edUcon (June 1-4, 2025). Task force members will ensure that selected content aligns with industry trends and participant needs. Using a provided rubric, they will critically assess submissions based on relevance, innovation, and potential impact on professional development. The task force plays a key role in shaping an engaging and forward-thinking educational program that delivers maximum value to EduCon attendees.

HBCU Task Force
Opportunity for
: Event Organizers, Suppliers, Faculty, and NextGen Members
Description
: This task force reviews and evaluates scholarship applications from students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Using a provided rubric, members assess applications based on academic achievement, leadership potential, and industry interest. The group also supports efforts to establish PCMA student chapters on HBCU campuses to expand access to industry resources and career development opportunities.

Global Student Competition Review Group
Opportunity for
: Organizers, Suppliers, Next Gen, and Faculty members who can judge student proposals without bias.
Description
: This group will be charged reviewing and scoring proposals, according to a provided rubric, in order to narrow down the submissions to the five finalists to submit to the final judging round.

PCMA Foundation - 20 in Their Twenties Review Group
Opportunity for
: Organizer, Supplier, Faculty, Next Gen, 20 in Their Twenties Alumni.
Description
: This committee will review and score the applications received for the incoming 20 in Their Twenties Class. Select the 20 in Their Twenties Class of 2026 based on the review and scoring results of the application and supporting materials submitted.

PCMA Foundation - Visionary Awards Review & Selection Committee
Opportunity for
: Organizer, Supplier, and Faculty members with at least 5 years of experience in the business events industry.
Description
: The Awards Committee is charged with reviewing and selecting award recipients for the Lifetime Achievement Honorees, Professional Excellence Awards, and other awards developed by the PCMA Foundation based on criteria provided.

PCMA Foundation - Visionary Awards Search Task Force

: This committee is tasked with sourcing nominations for the Visionary Awards, and individuals to nominate them. Complete necessary follow up to ensure the nominations are completed.

Ascent Pathway Review Group
Opportunity for
: Event Organizers, Suppliers, Faculty, and NextGen Members
Description
: The Ascent Pathway program empowers individuals who have faced barriers related to gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, ability, or life experiences. This initiative provides access to education and professional development opportunities to help participants advance their careers. Committee members review applications and select recipients on a rolling basis.
Responsibilities:
Committee members will be responsible for reviewing applications and selecting recipients of this scholarship on a rolling/monthly basis.

: This task force supports the PCMA Community Team in attracting new members and retaining existing ones. Members act as ambassadors for PCMA, promoting the value of membership, identifying prospects, and serving as a sounding board for key recruitment and retention initiatives.

Nominating Committee
Opportunity for
: A variety of seasoned industry leaders with the ability to exercise due diligence, consider diverse perspectives, and contribute to the selection of future PCMA leaders.

The Nominating Committee plays a vital role in shaping PCMA’s future by building a diverse, strategic, and knowledgeable Board of Directors and Trustees. Responsibilities include:
Reviewing board candidate qualifications through written applications and video interviews
Selecting Officers and Directors/Trustees based on criteria set by the Governance Committee
