Mission

The mission of the Media Annotations Working Group, part of the Video in the Web Activity, is to provide an ontology and API designed to facilitate cross-community data integration of information related to media objects in the Web, such as video, audio and images..

The Media Annotations Working Group was closed on 30 May 2014, having successfully published the following Recommendations: the Ontology for Media Resources 1.0 and the Metadata API for Media Resources 1.0.

General information for New Issues

If feasibly, use Bugzilla for submitting issues.

  • Select a Component, and a Version.
  • Then, enter the issue as described below.

No matter what way you choose, please provide the following information:

  • Title (Summary) - A short descriptive name for the issue
  • Description - A longer and complete description of the issue, state in terms of the documents
  • Justification - Why is this an issue? E.g., state an architectural concern, demonstrate an interop problem, explain a use case that isn't met
  • Target - What deliverable the issue is against (framework | attachment)
  • Proposal - A reasonably complete proposal for how the issue should be addressed.

It is also appreciated if the proposed solution comes with test cases.
