PROPOSITION NUMBER 1
Shall the Resolution adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners pursuant to Town Law §176(23), which declared that the Fire District’s 2007 KME Pumper Fire Truck is surplus with an estimated value in excess of one-hundred-thousand dollars ($100,000), no longer necessary for any Fire District uses or purposes and authorizing the sale of said apparatus under terms acceptable to the Board of Fire Commissioners, be approved?

SPECIAL ELECTION OF THE WALDEN FIRE DISTRICT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that a Special Election of the Walden Fire District will take place on
Tuesday, June 24, 2025
between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Walden Fire District Social Hall at 230 Old Orange Avenue, Walden, New York 12586 for the purposes of voting on the following proposition:
1) Shall the Resolution adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners pursuant to Town Law §176(23), which declared that the Fire District’s 2007 KME Pumper Fire Truck is surplus with an estimated value in excess of one-hundred-thousand dollars ($100,000), no longer necessary for any Fire District uses or purposes and authorizing the sale of said apparatus under terms acceptable to the Board of Fire Commissioners, be approved?
Only those persons who are residents of the Walden Fire District on or before May 27, 2025 and who are registered to vote with the Orange County Board of Elections on or before June 2, 2025 shall be eligible to vote in this Special Election.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that due to a conflict with a quorum for the January 6, 2025, meeting of the Walden Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners will be meeting in person at 230 Old Orange Ave Walden, NY and on video conference from 26 Wierk Ave Liberty, NY at 6:00pm.
Preliminary Budget Meeting 2025

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Walden Fire District in the Town of Montgomery will hold a public hearing on its 2025 budget on Monday October 14, 2024 at the Walden Fire House located at 230 Old Orange Avenue 5pm- 6pm in the Commissioner Office. All are welcomed to speak on the preliminary budget. The budget meeting will take place promptly at 6pm.
A copy of the preliminary budget may be obtained at the Town Montgomery Town Hall at 110 Bracken Road, Montgomery, New York and at the fire district’s offices at the above address, as well as on the Fire District’s website at
www.waldenfd.org
