The mission of this group is to promote early-stage cross-browser collaboration
on a new, portable, size- and load-time-efficient format suitable
for compilation to the web.

Almost all of the interesting standards activity for WebAssembly happens on our
GitHub
organization. See for example the
spec
repository for the specification document, the
design
repository for design documents and discussion, and the
meetings
repository for meeting agendas and minutes, and general information about how we
operate
, including our
Code of Conduct
. Additionally each proposal gets its own repository, and most of the actual design and discussion activity happens in these repositories.
In order to contribute to WebAssembly, you will need to
join the group
, which requires a
W3C account
. Please note, however, that this isn’t the same thing as
W3C Membership
, which is not required to join a Community Group.
