was created by
User:Seddon
for staff to recognize particularly fine contributions to the Wikimedia Movement, both online and offline, to let people know that their hard work is seen and appreciated, whatever they might do. Although originally created as an alternative for those who did not want to receive anything through the
Merchandise giveaway
program or who had already been previously nominated, it's meant to be awarded to anyone. Awards are given for contributions to the online projects and supporting wikis like Outreach Wiki or Meta; or involvement in the Wikimedia Foundation or Wikimedia Affiliates whether as a volunteer or member of staff.
When awarding a user this barnstar, please enlist them in the
