The broad objective of the study is t o examine the impact of international trade on economic growth in N igeria. To achieve this objective, time series data on gross domestic product (GDP) , export (EPT) exchange rate (EXR) and Trade openness (TOP) were sourced from CBN statistical bulletin. The econometric met hods of unit root test, Johansen cointegration test and Error Correction M echanism (ECM) were employed as the analytical tools. The result of the parsimonious ECM shows that the overall model is satisfactory given the coefficient of determination of 82 percent and fstatistics of 8.958. Furthermore, it also reveals that there is a significant relationship between international trade and economic growth in N igeria during the period of study. That is, international trade (proxied by exchange rate, trade openness and export) has impacted on economic growth (proxied by GDP) during the period of study. In addition, the long run dynamic result reveals that there exists a long-run relationship or equilibrium among the variables. This is because the coefficient of ECM is negatively signed and statistically significant, meaning that, the short run dynamics adjust to long run equilibrium relationship. It was therefore concluded that there is need to maint ain suit able or appropriate trade policy regimes regarding export, trade openness and the rate of exchange in order to foster economic growth in N igeria.

The unit root test results reveal that the variables were stationary at their first differences using Augmented Dickey-Fuller unit root test. The co- integration test reveals that there is a Long-run relationship between the variables. The result of the Ordinary Least Squares shows that the overall model is satisfactory given the coefficient of determination of 79 percent and F- statistic of 39.25094. The result also reveals that government capital expenditure on education, government recurrent expenditure on education and tertiary school enrolment has a significant relationship with economic growth in Nigeria, thereby fulfilling the aim and purpose of public spending. Based on these findings, the study concludes that Nigeria's policy for economic growth and development has actually focused more on the educational sector. The government should endeavour to achieve a high-quality education along with the ultimate purpose of enhancing education for all as the panacea for true development.

financial report of any organisation. Nigeria has a thoroughly reviewed accounting system which is a major factor that enhances
the profitability of most NGOs. For anybody to collect genuine data from a real source, a questionnaire has to be drafted and
used. The results so obtained were analysed, and in most cases, presented in the form of percentages, averages, and standard
deviations. The intended respondents off this research included financial professionals of renowned non-profit organizations in
Rivers State of Nigeria. The respondents distributed a total of 55 questionnaires and returned 50 questionnaires, representing
90% of the total. To achieve a better analysis, the ANOVA One-way technique ware was used. Our findings revealed that, the
accounting system has a substantial impact on the effectiveness of non-profit organizations. It is our recommendation that
Non-profit organizations maintain adequate record-keeping in full compliance with the international reporting standards; follow
proper recruitment procedures; carry out regular trainings for their accounting personnel in modern software on a constant
schedule; carry out routing and annual auditing of their financial statements; and most importantly, incorporate good accounting
and internal control systems.

The decision variables in this research were the five different types of soap (Bar soap, Aura toilet soap, Medicare Medicated soap, Translucent soap and Jumbo-all-purpose soap) produced by Rivers State Vegetable Oil Coy (RIVOC). Seven raw materials (sodium hydroxide or caustic soda, sodium silicate, perfumes, dye or colour, Palm kernel oil, salt and production time) were used in the soap production and the current quantities of materials for maximum profit in soap production as well as the time taken to produce each of the different variables of soap was determined. Linear programming optimization tool based on the soap production variables and constraints with the objective function of maximizing profit for the soap industry was applied, and the product mix and schedule of raw materials in soap production for maximum profit was determined using linear programming with LINDO software. Results showed that for profit maximization, 1052.63 units of Jumbo-all-purpose soap only should be produced daily amongst the other soap types, and with this product mix, a maximum profit of N68, 421.05 was generated daily. The result showed that producing 1052.63 units of Jumbo-all-purpose soap and zero production of the other types of soap (Bar soap, Aura toilet soap, Medicare Medicated soap, Translucent soap) generated a maximum profit of N68, 421.05 daily. Conclusion and recommendations were made that RIVOC Soap Production Industry should produce five different types of soap, but more Jumbo-all-purpose soap should be produced to attain maximum profit.

The finding shows that despite global effort to improve the poor condition of women through conventions and conferences such as CEDAW, MDGs, among others, gender discrimination has no abetted. Some of the main factors militating against women's effective participation in politics are illiteracy, poverty, money politics, intimidation, harmful traditional practices, violence, cultural and religious barriers. It is suggested that more effort is required by civil society, groups and government agencies for greater awareness on gender issues and rekindling effort of all stakeholders in quest to formulating politics and programmes towards reduction of gender inequality. Actions recognized by Nigerian laws. The recommendation also suggested that in order to ensure active participation of women in politics, government and political parties should increase the level of awareness of women by organizing seminar, workshops not only in the cities but also in villages.

Corruption is conduct that deviates from the normal duties of public trust due mainly to the expectation of private pecuniary reward. The study purposes that corruption is the bane of economic development and growth in Nigeria. The study adopted the historical/descriptive method and sourced materials primarily from secondary sources. The study also adopted the prebendal theoretical framework. Findings from the study show that corruption retards economic development and growth, promotes bad governance, poor service delivery, uncoordinated policies and programmes decayed infrastructures, impunity by officials of government, brain drain, moral decadence and encourages leadership ineptitude. The study, therefore, recommends massive attitudinal reorientation and public enlightenment, compulsory declaration of assets and liabilities of government officials before and after office, plugging of leakages, greater operational autonomy to anti-corruption agencies, the establishment of a special court to handle corruption cases and the development of the strong institution and people-oriented and visionary leadership as the panacea for tackling corruption frontally in the country.

This study focuses on the coronavirus called COVID-19 situation in Nigeria and its economic impact on the economy. The study also examines the structural causes that worsen the COVID-19 crisis in Nigeria. Our findings reveal that the economic downturn in Nigeria was triggered2 by a combination of declining oil prices and spillovers from the COVID-19 outbreak, which led to a fall in demand for oil products and social distancing, economic activities halted from taking place. The government retort to the crisis was to provide financial assistance to businesses and a few households affected by the coronavirus outburst. The Federal Government of Nigeria approved accommodative economic strategies by offering a targeted ₦3.5trillion loan as support to some sectors of the economy. However, these efforts did not prevent the economi...

The people of the area do not see and taste a diminutive of this wealth, rather faces a continues years of political and economic marginalization, environmental degradation, bad governance and policy inconsistency by the government, and the divide and rule policy of the oil companies which led to the emergence of militancy in the Niger Delta Region in early 2006. The various activities of militants have created a state of general insecurity in the region. This has led to the emergence of organized non-state armed groups, environmental activism and militancy in the Region. On assumption of office on May 29, 2009, the then President Musa Yar’adua announced Amnesty Programme for the Ex-militants as a means of bringing Peace to the Region.
